About This Project

What This Site Does

Misfuelling Response Checklist at misfuelling-response-checklist.hub2.day is a focused, independent web utility for drivers who have just put petrol in a diesel car or diesel in a petrol car. Tell the tool what happened — which fuel, which engine type — and it walks you through the exact do-this-now steps to minimize damage, decide whether to call a drain service, and what to tell the mechanic when you do.

Why It Exists

Misfuelling is stressful. Most advice online is buried in long articles or forum threads that are hard to follow when you are standing next to a fuel pump in a panic. This site strips the response down to a clear, step-by-step checklist so you can act quickly and confidently without searching through pages of general information.

How to Use It

  1. Select the fuel that went in (petrol or diesel).
  2. Select the engine type that received it (diesel engine or petrol engine).
  3. Follow the generated checklist — from "do not turn the key" through to what to tell the drain technician.

The checklist is generated in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to our servers.

Limitations

This tool provides general guidance based on widely recommended misfuelling response procedures. It is not a substitute for professional mechanical advice. Always consult a qualified mechanic or fuel drain specialist, especially if you have already started the engine or driven the vehicle.
